Laura Jayne Baker was returned unopposed as Societies' Council Convener.
There were three positions available for ordinary members of the finance committee available with four candidates battling it out for them. Joe Pike, Ross Macrae and Emily Horsfall were elected as the clear winners.
Out of the six positions up for grabs on the SRC Executive, two were uncontested. The roles of postgraduate convener and the teaching and learning convener were handed to Eoin Kerrane and James D. Holloway, respectively.
Academic service convener went to Andrew Burnie; external convener—the current role of president-elect Thomas Graham—was awarded to Katherine McMahon, while the new welfare convener is Gabi Jones.
The position of SRC Editor—a position current president Adam Ramsay failed this year to remove—was, controversially, the subject of negative campaigning. The eventual winner Matthew McPherson was slated by his opponent David Shucker for his support for rectorial candidate George Foulkes. Things got personal when Shucker nicknamed the politician "Fatty Foulkes."
