Queen Margaret University (QMU) is to be the first university in the UK to offer a British degree to students studying in Nepal.
The degree in International Hospitality and Tourism will be made available through the Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management in Kathmandu. 120 diploma graduates will be able to extend their studies by an extra year to receive the BA degree.
Trevor Laffin, Senior Lecturer in Hospitality Management at QMU, said: “There is great enthusiasm for this project and the QMU team is looking forward to supporting Silver Mountain in the delivery of the programme.”
