The Business School at Edinburgh Napier University launched an online version of its MBA programme on 16 November that can be accessed from a variety of digital platforms such as smart phones and tablet computers.
This move is in response to the growing demands for more flexible course structures, which will be an advantage for students with existing work and family commitments.
The new MBA Programme Director for Napier, Mammed Bagher, said: “At a time when budgets are tight, many people need to earn while they learn to develop their careers.
“This new online MBA is one of the most technically advanced in the world, by enabling student access to their learning environment at any time and any place.
“The result is a more responsive learning experience, allowing students from across the globe the option to develop their career prospects further with a globally recognised qualification."
Since the course is based online, students from around the world will be able to connect. It encourages interaction between individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds, which will provide students with a more global business perspective, an essential tool in today's competitive market.
The course is designed around contemporary issues and prepares students to deal with the challenges they might face in the 21st century, such as the current recession.
Following a modular programme, there are no fixed intake points. The MBA is also sold modularly and there are no obligations for students to study the whole programme.
Creating Competitive Advantage, Organisational Behaviour and Finance for Management Decision Making are just a few modules that are available under this new online MBA programme, which is currently open for student enrollment.
