Glasgow guru enjoys web of success

A Glasgow vintage guru has turned internet queen following the success of her online fashion boutique 'The Pokey Hat'.

The website features brands specifically tailored to the fashion tastebuds of local Weegies as well as pre-owned vintage pieces that were almost specifically made for girls from the fashion city.

However, 25-year-old owner Jennifer Welford, who started the online business in the wake of great success in buying and selling vintage via eBay, said a store was something she knew "I would give my heart and soul to".

She added: "It took months of planning and applying for external funding but hard work paid off and now I’m building an excellent relationship with my customers and building links with other business’ and I’m loving every minute of it."

The store sets itself aside from the rest by offering a place to shop for original brands such as Mink Pink, Reverse and Rare whilst providing the opportunity to mix with something one-of-a-kind and unique via the vintage section.
